NALCO: National Aluminium Company Ltd. (NSE: NATIONALUM, BSE: 532234) reported a strong start to FY2026-27, with net profit surging 88% year-on-year to ₹2,002.38 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, driven by higher aluminium prices, improved production and robust sales volumes.
The Navratna CPSE also posted a 39% increase in revenue from operations, which rose to ₹5,302.38 crore during the first quarter, reflecting strong operational performance across its aluminium and alumina businesses.
NALCO Delivers Record Q1 Operational Performance
The company achieved several operational milestones during the quarter, recording its highest-ever first-quarter performance in key production and sales metrics.
The records include:
- Bauxite excavation: 19.52 lakh tonnes
- Calcined alumina production: 5.77 lakh tonnes
- Alumina/Hydrate sales: 3.47 lakh tonnes
These achievements were supported by higher production volumes, stronger domestic alumina sales and favourable global aluminium prices.
Board Recommends Final Dividend
The Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of Re.1 per equity share (20% on the face value of ₹5 each) for FY2025-26.
The proposed dividend will result in a total payout of ₹183.66 crore, subject to approval by shareholders at the company’s upcoming 45th Annual General Meeting (AGM).
CMD Highlights Growth Strategy
Chairman and Managing Director Brijendra Pratap Singh attributed the strong quarterly performance to operational excellence, prudent financial management and favourable market conditions.
He said the company remains focused on completing ongoing expansion projects, increasing production capacity, improving operational efficiency, optimizing resource utilization and strengthening research & development initiatives to deliver sustainable long-term value.
Singh also acknowledged the continued support of the Ministry of Mines, Government of India, and the Government of Odisha in driving the company’s growth strategy.

With record operational performance, rising profitability and continued expansion plans, NALCO has begun FY2026-27 on a strong footing. The company expects its focus on efficiency, capacity expansion and value creation to support sustainable growth in the coming quarters.
