August 4, 2026: Multi Commodity Exchange of India Ltd. (MCX) reported a sharp rise in earnings for the first quarter of FY2026-27, with consolidated net profit more than doubling year-on-year as robust trading activity boosted revenue.
The commodity exchange operator posted a consolidated net profit of ₹413.44 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, compared with ₹203.19 crore in the corresponding quarter last year, registering a growth of over 103% YoY.
Revenue Surges Nearly 88% YoY
MCX reported total consolidated income of ₹751.79 crore during the June quarter, up from ₹405.82 crore a year ago, reflecting strong growth in commodity market participation.
Profit before tax (PBT) rose significantly to ₹523.13 crore, compared with ₹256.41 crore in Q1 FY26.

Board Announces AGM Date
The MCX Board approved holding the company’s 24th Annual General Meeting (AGM) on September 17, 2026, through Video Conferencing (VC) / Other Audio Visual Means (OAVM).
Dividend Record Date Fixed
The Board also confirmed that Friday, August 28, 2026, has been fixed as the record date to determine shareholders eligible to receive the final dividend, subject to shareholder approval at the AGM.
The dividend payment is expected to be completed on or before October 15, 2026.
MCX Expands Leadership for Regulatory Disclosures
MCX’s Board approved a revision to the list of Key Managerial Personnel (KMPs) authorized to determine material events and make disclosures under SEBI Listing Regulations.
The revised list now includes Executive Directors along with the:

- Executive Director (Regulatory, Compliance, Risk Management & Investor Grievances)

MCX Launches New Coal Exchange Subsidiary
During the June quarter, MCX incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary named MCX Coal Exchange of India Limited on June 11, 2026.
The company infused an initial capital of ₹1 crore, comprising 10 lakh equity shares of ₹10 each, as part of its strategy to expand its commodity ecosystem.
Core Settlement Guarantee Fund Crosses ₹1,443 Crore
The exchange disclosed that the Core Settlement Guarantee Fund (Core SGF) stood at ₹1,443.73 crore as of June 30, 2026.
During the quarter, MCX contributed ₹32.32 crore towards the statutory settlement guarantee mechanism.
