ITC Limited has completed the acquisition of the Century Pulp and Paper business from Aditya Birla Real Estate Limited, marking a significant expansion of its paperboards, paper, and packaging business.
The company informed stock exchanges that the transaction was completed on August 1, 2026, following earlier announcements made on March 31, 2025, and December 17, 2025.
Acquisition Completed on Slump Sale Basis
ITC said it has acquired the pulp and paper undertaking, operated under the ‘Century Pulp and Paper’ brand, as a going concern on a slump sale basis in accordance with the Business Transfer Agreement dated March 31, 2025.
The acquisition includes the transfer of:

- Liabilities
- Contracts
- Employees
- Other related business operations
The company confirmed that the entire undertaking has been transferred as a going concern.
Strategic Expansion for ITC’s Paper Business
