Nine IPOs to Hit the Market
Apart from the five mainboard IPOs, the SME segment will also remain active. The broader IPO calendar has nine new public issues, collectively raising close to ₹7,700 crore.
This means investors will have several opportunities across sectors including auto components, healthcare, dairy, e-commerce, engineering and SME businesses.
The unusually crowded IPO calendar could also result in investors having to make choices about where to deploy their capital, particularly if several issues attract strong subscription demand simultaneously.
Eight Companies Set for Stock Market Debut
The primary market activity will not be limited to new IPO launches. Eight companies are scheduled to make their stock market debut during the week, adding another layer of activity for investors.
The companies scheduled for listing include Ardee Industries, LEAP India, Technocraft Ventures, Aegeus Technologies, G.V. Electricals, Anawil Wire & Engineering, LAPL Automotive and Optimystix Entertainment.
The performance of these new listings could also influence investor sentiment towards the IPOs opening during the week.
IPO GMP Signals Positive Sentiment
Grey market activity has also been pointing towards positive listing expectations for the five mainboard IPOs.
Recent market data showed indicative premiums for Dhoot Transmission, Molbio Diagnostics, Milky Mist Dairy Food, Shiprocket and Behari Lal Engineering. Dhoot Transmission was reported to have the highest indicative GMP among the five, followed by Molbio Diagnostics.
However, grey market premium (GMP) is unofficial and should not be treated as a guarantee of listing gains. GMP can change rapidly depending on market sentiment, subscription demand and broader market conditions.
What Should IPO Investors Watch?
With five mainboard IPOs opening within just three days, investors should look beyond the headline issue size and GMP.
Key factors to consider include:
- IPO valuation compared with listed peers
- Revenue and profit growth
- EBITDA and operating margins
- Debt levels and cash flows
- Return on equity (ROE) and return on capital employed (ROCE)
- Fresh issue versus OFS component
- Use of IPO proceeds
- Promoter holding after the IPO
- Institutional and anchor investor participation
- Subscription trends across QIB, NII and retail categories
- Market conditions at the time of listing
The combination of strong IPO activity and multiple new listings makes August 10–14 an important week for India’s primary market.
Bottom Line
The Indian IPO market is heading into another high-intensity week, with nine IPOs seeking nearly ₹7,700 crore and eight companies preparing to list on the stock exchanges.
Among the mainboard offerings, Dhoot Transmission is the largest IPO at ₹3,067 crore, followed by Shiprocket at ₹1,617.48 crore, Milky Mist Dairy Food at ₹1,553 crore and Molbio Diagnostics at around ₹939.70 crore. Behari Lal Engineering will contribute another ₹301.62 crore.
For investors, the crowded IPO calendar provides plenty of opportunities — but also makes valuation, business quality, financial performance and issue objectives more important than simply chasing GMP or expected listing gains.
