Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal has shared a detailed fact sheet outlining the average income of the company’s delivery partners, following a public exchange with popular YouTuber Dhruv Rathee on X (formerly Twitter).
The disclosure comes after Rathee questioned Zomato’s pay practices and demanded greater transparency regarding gig workers’ earnings. In response, Goyal released data highlighting average hourly and monthly earnings of delivery partners, amid ongoing discussions on gig worker pay and working conditions.
According to the fact sheet, the average earnings per hour (EPH) in 2025, excluding tips, for a Zomato delivery partner stood at ₹102, up from ₹92 in 2024 — marking a 10.9% year-on-year increase.
Goyal added that while most delivery partners work part-time or only a few days a month, a full-time worker putting in 10 hours per day over 26 days could earn ₹26,500 per month in gross income. After accounting for fuel and maintenance costs (approximately 20%), net earnings would be around ₹21,000 per month.
The fact sheet aims to provide clarity to the public and counter misinformation, highlighting Zomato’s efforts to support gig workers while addressing concerns around compensation transparency.
