Wardwizard Innovations & Mobility, an electric vehicle manufacturer, is gearing up to expand its operations to meet the growing demand in both domestic and international markets, according to Chairman and Managing Director Yatin Gupte. The Vadodara-based company is establishing a new assembly plant in Sharjah, UAE, in collaboration with the BEEAH Group, to serve African markets, particularly Egypt. Additionally, it has set up an assembly plant in Deoghar, Jharkhand, to meet the increasing demand for electric vehicles (EVs) in regions like Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Odisha.
In discussions with PTI, Gupte mentioned that the Sharjah assembly plant will cater to the demand in African countries with infrastructure support provided by BEEAH Group. He further stated that the company aims to finalize plans for this initiative by the first quarter of the next fiscal year.
Gupte revealed the company’s strategy to introduce electric bikes primarily in African countries while focusing on expanding its scooter range for the domestic market. He emphasized the readiness of their bike prototype for promotion in the UAE and African markets.
Furthermore, Gupte highlighted the company’s plans to introduce two new electric scooter models soon to augment its product portfolio for the domestic market. Currently, Wardwizard offers 9 electric scooters under the Joy brand.
Wardwizard also has plans to expand its range of electric three-wheelers, intending to introduce new products in the commercial sector, including a vehicle for waste management. Gupte expressed the company’s goal to have 100 distributors for three-wheelers in the next fiscal year, aiming to increase from the current 20-25 distributors. As for two-wheelers, Wardwizard boasts over 150 distributors and more than 750 dealers presently.
