State-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) have raised the prices of 19 kg commercial LPG gas cylinders by ₹25 effective from today, March 1st. Following the latest hike, the retail price of a 19 kg commercial gas cylinder now stands at ₹1,795 in Delhi. In Mumbai, the same cylinder will be priced at ₹1,749, while in Chennai and Kolkata, the cost of commercial LPG gas cylinders has increased to ₹1,960 and ₹1,911, respectively.
This marks the second consecutive increase in prices by state-run firms for commercial gas cylinders. On February 1st, rates for a 19-kg gas cylinder had risen by ₹14. In February, the cost of a 19-kg gas cylinder stood at ₹1,769.50 in Delhi, ₹1,887 in Kolkata, ₹1,723 in Mumbai, and ₹1,937 in Chennai.
Earlier, on December 1, 2023, oil companies had increased the rates of commercial gas cylinders by ₹21 across various locations in the country.
However, on the eve of the New Year in 2024, the prices of 19-kg commercial cooking gas were reduced by ₹39.50 per cylinder.

In contrast, prices of domestic gas cylinders have remained unchanged. The price of a 14.2 kg LPG cylinder is ₹903 in Delhi, ₹929 in Kolkata, ₹902.50 in Mumbai, and ₹918.50 in Chennai.
State-owned Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) regularly revise cooking gas prices on the 1st of every month based on the average international price in the previous month.
