The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released a press statement on Tuesday, informing candidates about the government job openings available through the upcoming Combined Higher Secondary (10 + 2) Level Examination for 2024. Reports suggest that approximately 5,000 vacancies will be announced under the SSC CHSL 2024 recruitment drive.
The online registration process is expected to commence today, April 2, 2024, on the commission’s new website and will continue until May 1, 2024.
Interested candidates are required to complete the One Time Registration (OTR) process on the new SSC website. It’s important to note that the previous OTR system will no longer be operational.
The SSC CHSL recruitment for 2024 will be conducted for Group C positions such as Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC)/ Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) and Data Entry Operators (DEO) for various ministries, departments, and offices of the Government of India, as well as various constitutional bodies, statutory bodies, and tribunals.
The SSC notification highlights a new feature in the application process, wherein live photographs of candidates will be captured instead of uploading pre-captured photographs. Candidates are advised to follow specific instructions while taking these photographs, including finding a well-lit area with a plain background, positioning the camera at eye level, and avoiding wearing caps, masks, or glasses/spectacles.
