Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Srinagar, the capital of Jammu and Kashmir, on Thursday, where he will take part in the ‘Viksit Bharat Viksit Jammu Kashmir’ program at Bakshi Stadium. During the event, PM Modi will unveil projects and programs worth ₹5,000 crore in Jammu & Kashmir. As the Lok Sabha elections draw near, PM Modi has been extensively traveling across various states, inaugurating several projects to bolster support for his Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

- Participating in the ‘Viksit Bharat Viksit Jammu Kashmir’ program.
- Dedicating the ‘Holistic Agriculture Development Program’ to the nation, aimed at enhancing the agri-economy in Jammu and Kashmir. This initiative is expected to benefit approximately 2.5 lakh farmers through skill development via the Daksh Kisan portal, establishing 2000 Kisan Khidmat Ghars, and implementing robust value chains for the farming community’s welfare.
- Launching multiple tourism-related projects worth over ₹1400 crore under the Swadesh Darshan and PRASHAD schemes.
- Inaugurating the Integrated Development of Hazratbal Shrine project, which includes various components such as site development, illumination of the shrine precinct, improvement of ghats and devri paths, construction of a Sufi interpretation center, tourist facilitation center, among others.
- Initiating the ‘Dekho Apna Desh People’s Choice Tourist Destination Poll’ and ‘Chalo India Global Diaspora Campaign’.
- Meeting with Sandeshkhali women, exhibiting a paternal demeanor.
- Distributing appointment orders to approximately 1000 new government recruits in Jammu and Kashmir.
