Pakistani authorities on Wednesday extended the ban on Indian aircraft using its airspace until September 23, according to a fresh NOTAM (Notice to Airmen) issued by the Pakistan Airports Authority.
Under the extended restrictions, all Indian-operated aircraft, including those owned or leased for military and civilian purposes, remain barred from entering Pakistani airspace.
The ban was first imposed on April 23, following heightened tensions between India and Pakistan after the Pahalgam terrorist attack. The restriction was initially set for one month but has since been repeatedly extended.
In response, India closed its airspace for Pakistani carriers on April 30, leading to reciprocal restrictions that were further extended on May 23.
