According to Bloomberg reports, Amazon.com Inc. founder Jeff Bezos is set to acquire a six-bedroom home on South Florida’s Indian Creek island for approximately $90 million in an off-market deal. Bezos, worth $203.7 billion, intends to reside in this new property while planning to demolish other houses he owns on the island.
Bezos announced his move to Miami from the Seattle region in November, having previously purchased two mansions in Indian Creek for $147 million. Indian Creek, known as the “Billionaire Bunker,” boasts wealthy residents including Jared Kushner, Ivanka Trump, Tom Brady, and Carl Icahn.
In February, Bezos sold around $8.5 billion worth of Amazon shares, his first stock disposal since 2021. His plans for the proceeds remain undisclosed. Besides his stock transactions, Bezos owns significant property assets including homes in Washington, a Maui estate, and a Beverly Hills mansion bought for $165 million in 2020.
The seller of the mansion at 28 Indian Creek Island Road is identified as former banker Javier Holtz.
