The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert, predicting the possibility of heavy rainfall in Delhi until July 1. Today’s weather forecast includes a generally cloudy sky with very light rain or thunderstorms, accompanied by gusty winds at speeds of 25-35 km/h. Similar conditions are expected to persist over the next few days.
Heavy Rainfall Alerts Across India
The IMD has also issued several other alerts across the country:
- Orange Alert: Heavy rainfall is expected in Goa, Karnataka, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Bihar, Arunachal Pradesh, and the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. This is the second-highest warning for significant precipitation.
- Red Alert: Sikkim and West Bengal are expected to experience exceptionally intense rainfall.

- Saurashtra & Kutch: Isolated heavy rainfall is likely until June 27.
- Gujarat Region: Heavy rainfall expected during and until June 29.
- Coastal Karnataka: Heavy rainfall likely until June 29.

- North Interior Karnataka: Heavy rainfall expected on June 27.
- Telangana: Heavy rainfall on June 27 and 28.
- Coastal Andhra Pradesh: Heavy rainfall from June 25 to June 28.

- West Madhya Pradesh: June 27 and 28.
- Vidarbha region: June 2 and 28.
- East Madhya Pradesh: Until June 29.
- Chhattisgarh: From June 26 to June 29.

- Goa: Until June 30.
- Karnataka and Kerala: Until June 27.
- Tamil Nadu: June 26.
North-Eastern States
Heavy to very heavy showers are predicted for West Bengal, Sikkim, Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura until June 29.
