Hindustan Zinc Ltd experienced a slight decline of 1 percent in mined metals output, with 299 kilo tonnes (KT) in the final quarter of FY24 compared to 301 KT a year earlier. However, over the entire fiscal year 2023-24, mined metal production saw a 2 percent increase, reaching 1,079 KT compared to 1,062 KT in 2022-23.
Refined metal production, encompassing zinc and lead, witnessed a 1 percent growth to 273 KT, compared to 269 KT during the same period last year. However, the overall production for the entire year remained consistent at 1,033 KT.
In terms of integrated silver production, the fourth quarter saw a 4 percent increase to 189 tonnes, up from 182 tonnes in the corresponding period of the previous year. Throughout FY24, silver output grew approximately 5 percent to 746 tonnes, up from 714 tonnes.
