Newly listed firms Groww’s parent company, Billionbrains Garage Ventures Ltd, and eyewear retailer Lenskart Solutions Ltd are set to be included in the BSE Large Cap index starting Tuesday, 6 January 2026, according to an official notification issued on 23 December 2025.
BSE Index Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Bombay Stock Exchange, informed investors that both companies will be inducted into the index at market open on the effective date, following the latest index reconstitution under revised methodology norms.
As per the announcement, Tata Motors Ltd will be added to multiple indices including the BSE Allcap, BSE Large Cap, BSE Large Mid Cap, and BSE Industrials. Billionbrains Garage Ventures (Groww) will be included in the BSE Allcap, BSE Large Cap, BSE Large Mid Cap, and BSE Financial Services indices. Meanwhile, Lenskart Solutions will join the BSE Allcap, BSE Large Cap, BSE Large Mid Cap, and BSE Consumer Discretionary indices.
On the stock performance front, Groww shares ended Tuesday’s session 3.26% lower at ₹160.30, compared with the previous close of ₹165.70. Despite the decline, the stock has delivered over 8% returns since its November 2025 listing, and is up more than 12% over the last five trading sessions. Groww’s market capitalisation stood at ₹98,962.75 crore as of 23 December.
Lenskart Solutions shares closed marginally lower at ₹465.70, down 0.12% from the previous session. Since its November listing, the stock has generated over 14% returns, with strong recent momentum, gaining 15% in the past five sessions. The company’s market capitalisation stood at ₹80,792.90 crore.
The inclusion of both stocks in the BSE Large Cap index is expected to improve visibility and potentially drive passive fund inflows, marking an important milestone for the newly listed companies.
