On September 27, global investors Morgan Stanley, Societe Generale, and Citigroup acquired a combined 2.8% stake in Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy through open market transactions. In contrast, the company’s promoters sold a total of 7.13% of their holdings.
Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore Pte purchased 20.25 lakh equity shares, while Societe Generale bought 20.1 lakh shares and Citigroup Global Markets Mauritius acquired 25.65 lakh shares, all at an average price of ₹623 per share. The promoters, Shapoorji Pallonji and Company, sold 5.78% of their stake at an average price of ₹623.28, and Khurshed Yazdi Daruvala divested 1.35% at an average price of ₹630.01. Following these transactions, the stock rose by 1.2% to ₹649.60.
Additionally, Shivalik Bimetal Controls was in the spotlight as promoters including Ultra Portfolio Management and Amar Engineering Company sold a 17.97% stake at an average price of ₹610.6, totaling ₹632.1 crore. In a notable shift, several mutual funds, including Aditya Birla Sun Life and UTI Mutual Fund, acquired 16.76% of Shivalik Bimetal Controls for ₹589.58 crore, with the stock closing at ₹621.95, up 0.3%.
Nuvama Wealth Management also saw activity, with Morgan Stanley Asia Singapore, Goldman Sachs, and Smallcap World Fund acquiring a 5.2% equity stake for an average price of ₹6,702.60 per share, amounting to ₹1,234.8 crore. Conversely, EDEL Finance Company and Ecap Equities sold a 6.2% stake at the same price, valued at ₹1,481.2 crore.
In other developments, Entero Healthcare Solutions shares surged by 9.4% to ₹1,437.35, despite Prasid Uno Family Trust selling a 5.5% stake at an average price of ₹1,305 per share. Stichting Depositary APG Emerging Markets Equity Pool bought a 2.1% stake in Entero for ₹121 crore.
Furthermore, Ascent India Fund III sold a small percentage of stakes in Sequent Scientific and Radiant Cash Management Services, while Pine Oak Global Fund and promoter Nageswaramma Private Trust also offloaded stakes in various companies. Motilal Oswal Mutual Fund and Singularity Holdings made notable purchases in Dynamatic Technologies and SpiceJet, respectively, signaling continued market activity.
