Exicom, an EV charging and critical power solutions provider, announced the launch of India’s “fastest DC chargers” for electric vehicles, boasting speeds of up to 400 kW, as per a statement released on May 14.
The Harmony Gen 1.5 DC fast charger, designed to enhance user convenience, aims to accelerate the adoption of EVs. It features a compact design, facilitating easier and more economical installation. Additionally, it offers advanced functionalities such as an AI-driven remote management system, high operational efficiency, integrated ambient lighting, and other amenities to enhance the customer charging experience.
A robust charging infrastructure is indispensable for the widespread adoption of EVs, prompting numerous companies to focus on enhancing battery and charger technology to capitalize on the growing electric vehicle market in India.
At 12.59 pm, Exicom’s stock was trading at Rs 271.75 on the BSE, marking a 6.59 percent increase from the previous close.
Exicom was among the pioneers in the EV chargers segment and, as of March 31, 2023, commanded a market share of 60 percent and 25 percent in the residential and public charging sectors, respectively. The company has deployed over 35,000 EV chargers across 400 locations in India.
These chargers are tailored to withstand India’s challenging climate and electrical conditions, ensuring resilience to extreme temperatures and common grid fluctuations.
The global DC fast charging market is projected to witness a robust CAGR of 37.6 percent between 2020 and 2025, driven by factors such as the increasing adoption of EVs, government initiatives to promote charging infrastructure, and advancements in fast charging technology.
Exicom also announced its expansion into Southeast Asian countries like Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia, as well as Europe.
