CAPA India, an aviation consultancy, has estimated that domestic air passenger traffic for the fiscal year 2023-24 stood at 153.4 million. This figure represents a slight decrease from their earlier projection of over 160 million made in March 2023, when they had revised it down to 155 million in October of the same year.
In terms of international traffic, CAPA India had forecasted around 70 million passengers in October 2023, which was slightly lower than their previous estimate of 72-74 million made in March of that year.
Providing an update for the fiscal year 2023-24, CAPA stated that domestic traffic reached an estimated 153.4 million passengers, while international traffic reached approximately 69.7 million passengers.
India remains one of the fastest-growing civil aviation markets globally.
