New Delhi, 25 August 2025 – The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a travel advisory for commuters as lawyers of all district courts in Delhi continue their strike on Monday. The protest, scheduled at Tis Hazari Courts from 10 AM onwards, is expected to impact traffic in several central and north Delhi stretches.
Key Roads Affected
Traffic movement will remain restricted on the following stretches:
- Ring Road
- Boulevard Road
- Rani Jhansi Road & Rani Jhansi Flyover
- Rajpur Road
- Shamnath Marg
- Lothian Road
- Kacheri Road
- Zorawar Singh Marg
- Hamilton Road
⚠️ No U-turn will be allowed under Yudhister Setu.
Alternate Routes Suggested by Traffic Police
- Vehicles heading to Tis Hazari Courts from Shastri Park → Re-routed from Yudhister Setu via Outer Ring Road.
- Traffic from Ring Road (ISBT Kashmiri Gate) → Diverted to Chandgiram Akhara.
- Motorists from Lothian Road/Khoya Mandi → Redirected to Boulevard Road.
- Vehicles from Kela Ghat Marg → Diverted to Ring Road via ISBT Kashmiri Gate.
- Motorists from Nicholson Marg/Mori Gate → Routed via Kacheri Road.
- Traffic from Rajpur Road, Rajniwas Marg, Chauburja Marg → Diverted from MCD Chowk to Dr. Kanwal Marg.
- Vehicles from Lala Jagannath Marg and Roshnara Road → Diverted from Baraf Khana Chowk to Dr. Kanwal Marg.
Additional Restrictions in Central Delhi
Due to a major event, parking and halting restrictions are in place on:
Mother Teresa Crescent, Teen Murti Marg, Shanti Path, Panchsheel Marg, Simon Bolivar Marg, Kautilya Marg, and adjoining stretches.
Traffic will also be diverted at:
- Vande Matram Marg
- Simon Bolivar Marg T-point near RML Hospital
- Under Moti Bagh Flyover
- Yashwant Palace Roundabout
