Despite efforts from Ajinkya Rahane (45, 30 balls), Daryl Mitchell (34, 26 balls), and MS Dhoni (37 not out, 16 balls), DC’s bowlers dominated the match.
Earlier, strong half-centuries by captain Rishabh Pant and veteran opener David Warner propelled Delhi Capitals to 191 for five.
Pant (51 off 32 balls) and Warner (52 off 35 balls) received valuable support from opener Prithvi Shaw (43 off 27 balls).
Matheesha Pathirana (3/31) was the most successful bowler for CSK.
DC was without the services of left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav due to injury.
