The National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the deadline for applying to the Common University Entrance Test (CUET)-UG 2024 for the second time. The new deadline for submitting applications is April 5, 2024, announced by the NTA on Sunday.
According to the latest announcement from NTA, candidates can now submit their online application forms for CUET-(UG) 2024 until 9:50 pm on April 5. Initially, the deadline was March 26, which was later extended to March 31. Now, the deadline has been further extended by 5 days.
Sadhana Parashar, Senior Director (Exams) at NTA, stated, “The deadline for online submission of the application form for the CUET-UG – 2024 has been extended up to 9:50 PM on April 5, 2024 based on the request received from candidates and other stakeholders.”
Candidates are allowed to use either a school ID or any government ID with a photograph for identification purposes.
About CUET-UG 2024 Exam
The CUET-UG 2024 exam is scheduled to take place from May 15 to May 31. It is mandatory for students seeking admission to undergraduate programs across various central, state, deemed, and private universities nationwide. Conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), this exam is for admission to undergraduate programs at different central universities and other institutions. For post-graduate courses, a similar exam called CUET-PG is conducted by the NTA.
Hybrid Examination Format for CUET-UG 2024
Unlike traditional examination formats, CUET-UG 2024 will be conducted in both computer-based testing and pen-and-paper modes for different subjects. Subjects with high-registration volumes will have a pen-and-paper format using optical mark recognition (OMR), while others will remain computer-based.

- Visit the official website of CUET or NTA.
- Register by providing essential details such as name, parents’ name, email ID, mobile number, and address.
- Create a password for login credentials.
- Fill in educational and personal information.
- Choose university, program, preferred subject, etc.
- Upload necessary documents like a passport-size photograph and signature.
- Make the fee payment.
- Submit the application form after payment.
