The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has extended invitations to the owners of the 10 IPL teams for an informal gathering scheduled to take place in Ahmedabad on April 16.
This meeting is slated to occur on the sidelines of the match between Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium.
According to a BCCI official speaking to PTI, the purpose of the meeting is to facilitate discussions among stakeholders, with no specific agenda set. Given that the IPL will be entering its second month, it presents an opportune time for all parties to convene.
Among the likely topics for discussion are matters pertaining to the upcoming mega auction later this year, including player retentions and potential adjustments to the auction purse, which currently stands at Rs 100 crore. The meeting will be attended by BCCI Secretary Jay Shah, President Roger Binny, and IPL Chairman, among others.
