Indian grain commerce platform Arya.ag has raised ₹725 crore in an equity funding round led by climate-focused investor GEF Capital Partners, marking a significant step toward scaling its operations and preparing for a public listing.
In a statement, the company said the fresh capital will be used to deepen engagement with farmers and expand technology-driven, climate-smart agricultural solutions across its network. The funding comes nearly three years after Arya.ag raised $60 million in a Series C round from investors including Asia Impact SA, Lighrock India and Quona Capital, which had valued the company at ₹2,200 crore.
Co-founder Prasanna Rao said the latest investment was completed at a premium to the previous valuation, though he did not disclose specific figures. He added that GEF Capital Partners will emerge as one of Arya.ag’s largest shareholders, acquiring both new equity as well as stakes from existing investors.
The company has also set aside up to $6 million for strategic technology investments, including potential acquisitions. In 2022, Arya.ag acquired data science firm Prakshep and SaaS company Assert AI to strengthen its digital capabilities. Avendus Capital acted as the exclusive financial advisor for the current funding round.
Looking ahead, Rao said the investment is aimed at scaling the business to make it IPO-ready within the next 15–20 months.
The New Delhi–based startup has reported strong financial momentum. In the first half of FY26, Arya.ag posted net revenue of ₹300 crore, up 28% year-on-year, while profits increased 39% to ₹31.5 crore.
Arya.ag operates an integrated agri-commerce platform offering farmgate storage, financing and market linkages. Its services currently span around 60% of India’s districts, supported by a network of 12,000 warehouses that handle grain worth about $3 billion annually. The platform has also facilitated over $1.5 billion in loans to farmers and agri-sector participants.
Founded in 2018, GEF Capital Partners is a private equity firm focused on climate-growth investments in middle-market companies.
