Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is scheduled to convene a meeting with Aam Aadmi Party MLAs in the national capital this Sunday, marking his first interaction with legislators since his release from Tihar Jail following the Supreme Court’s interim bail grant until June 1.
In a social media post, CM Arvind Kejriwal outlined his agenda for the day, including an MLA meeting at 11 am, a press conference at the party office at 1 pm, followed by two roadshows in New Delhi and West Delhi Lok Sabha constituencies at 4 pm and 6 pm respectively.
Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party Chhatra Yuva Sangharsh Samiti organized the ‘Jail Ka Jawab Vote Se’ cyclathon in Delhi, focusing on the theme of electoral participation as a response to incarceration.
Kejriwal’s recent statements, including questioning PM Modi’s future leadership due to his approaching 75th birthday, have drawn attention and sparked reactions from both his supporters and critics. While AAP leaders have echoed Kejriwal’s sentiments, BJP leaders have maintained that Modi will continue to lead the party and the nation.
The Supreme Court’s decision to grant interim bail to Kejriwal until June 1 comes with the condition that he refrains from commenting on the Delhi liquor scam case, ensuring legal compliance amidst his political activities.
As Delhi gears up for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, scheduled for May 25, the political landscape remains dynamic, with all eyes on the seven parliamentary seats in the capital city.
