The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has accused the Election Commission of India of denying permission for two Lok Sabha election programs due to the use of Haryanvi and abusive language in the written response.
According to Sushil Gupta, the AAP’s chief in Haryana and a candidate for the Kurukshetra constituency, the party had requested permission for election campaigns on April 7, but their application was rejected citing abusive language.
The party took to its official social media handle, X (formerly Twitter), to highlight the EC’s response, which allegedly included derogatory language. Anurag Dhanda, AAP’s Haryana Vice President, criticized the BJP-led central government and the Election Commission, questioning if BJP-affiliated individuals were influencing the Commission’s decisions.

The AAP condemned the EC’s actions, accusing it of partisanship towards the BJP. They demanded accountability from the Election Commission and questioned if BJP supporters were employed within its offices.
Brahm Prakash, the sub-divisional magistrate-cum-assistant returning officer in Kaithal, Haryana, responded to the matter by suspending five computer operators and initiating a police investigation. However, he did not dismiss the possibility of the portal being hacked.
Haryana is scheduled to vote on May 25, with vote counting slated for June 4.
